MONICA Project
The MONICA Project
—
MONICA is a research project funded by the European Council for Sciences that has been created with the intention of showcasing what IoT devices can accomplish in connected “smart cities”.
Based on several devices such as smart wristbands, video cameras, loudspeakers, mobile phones and smart glasses, MONICA will be able to offer a portfolio of applications for enhanced city services, which will be demonstrated in six different European cities, involving more than 100,000 application users.
This particular portion of The MONICA Project has been created with the intention of displaying the capability to create location sharing applications for users attending large events or conferences in large-scale public spaces.
